Software issues come in two general forms, during initial installation or after years of using a title suddenly you're getting error messages and failures you've not seen before. There is of course the learning curve but that requires an educational solution.

When the issue is related to an installation error its usually because of a supporting file that is not up to date of simply not installed. Generally its Microsoft's® and easy to identify and correct. Rarely, but in some cases, installation issues arrise because of conflicts with pre-existing software.

When you're having proplems with software that suddenly starts to fail it can be the result of a conflict with a recent Windows® update or other automatic update. Identifying and uninstalling the offending update will generally correct the problem. In some cases though, and especially on "older" Windows® builds this can be the first sign of impending system problems. Besides the errors you may notice you programs are taking longer to load. Though not impossible some errors could be related to presence of a virus.
